Am I the only one who is fed up with the bullshit that is happening at Wende? It seems like this new make due with less program has everyone on edge, but our local Union Officials are closing their eyes. Thursday, a sector steward was closed down in a non-contingent post to cover the MRI trailer. When I asked if he was grieving it, he said NO, I don't want Herdzik pissed off!
If he won't do what is right for himself, then how can he help the rest of us? People are running real scared and everyone is stressed out. It really reminds me of the days when Irving was the Supt., only on a much larger scale. Wake up people, get your heads out of your ass and see that everything that happens in one area of the jail, will ultimately effect your area also.
For all the brass suckholds(and you know who you are) What benefit do you get out of it?
The tide will turn on you also eventually. Everyone is expendable and our administration doesn't care how much time you have, how good an Officer you are, they only care about what have you
done for me today. Keep feeding them coffee and information, until the tables get turned- see how fast they stand behind you!

I couldn't agree more! We don't have a real union. We have a bunch of yes men, and that is a prooven fact. The comment about pissin off herdzik is just the tip of the iceberg. Supt has no respect for anyone. He really forgot where he came from, but he went up the ranks, and then became a politician. Allegiance is to whoever

ReplyDeleteAnyone can file a grievance. You do not need UNION representation to file. Fill out grievance and take to Capts. secretary for the grievance number.
ReplyDeleteI worked at places where high school kids get better treatment from their supervisors than we do! If rank changes you that much, I'm glad I'm just an entry level employee WITH self respect, character and peace of mind with my co-workers.

Our super just put out an order that if your on a trip and are at an outside facility you can NO LONGER say "hello" or anything else to anyone at that facility if this would incur stopping your vehicle. Now that's leadership at its finest. That must explain why he never says hello to any of us while he micro manages on his rounds.
ReplyDeleteWhat if I were to tell you that in order to save time a lieutenant ordered that a hub run would add on to its normal run, therefore saving a trip. Well he did just that even after being told by, you guessed it, a CO, that it would not work and would cause everything to be late. What do we know? Anyway his idea was carried out and there were approximately 8 staff who got OT from this fiasco. More decisions like this and we'll all be rich. Thank you Lt.
